Bodega x ASICS GEL-KAYANO 20 — "Small Wins Add Up"
Life is a marathon, not a sprint. That's the idea behind Bodega's tenth-anniversary collaboration with ASICS: a GEL-KAYANO 20 built for the everyday athlete, celebrating the small, easily-overlooked wins that accumulate into something bigger.
The upper starts with the silhouette's signature two-layer Spacer Air Mesh — a chainmail-like texture that's breathable and feather-light — laid over a fortified grey foundation. A welded FLUIDFIT™ cage wraps the foot in a criss-cross TPU exoskeleton, targeting key zones for support while keeping the fit glove-like. Reflective ASICS Stripes nod to the shoe's original performance intent, and tonal BODEGA branding sits quietly at the lateral heel beneath the classic "GEL-KAYANO 20" callout in mustard yellow.
Colour does the storytelling. A mid-2000s utilitarian palette of light grey and cement sets the base; bright green and golden yellow break through as the light at the end of the tunnel. Volt green floods the collar lining, translucent emerald GEL™ inserts show through the lateral midsole, and speckled paint runs from midfoot to heel. Underfoot, the custom insole takes its cue from a crosswalk — a reminder that life moves in stops and starts, and this shoe can take it in stride. Inside, mismatched purple branding marks ASICS on one foot and Bodega on the other.
